This week’s newsletter is full of fall things, including a white chili chicken recipe, a very good roasted squash recipe, and a rec for pumpkin picking and excellent apple cider donuts.

Recommendations
I recently took a very dreamy trip to Portugal so I have a few Portugal-themed recommendations….
A perfect Airbnb for a group vacation: If you’re planning a large group trip like a milestone birthday, we stayed at the most amazing villa in Torreira, Portugal, outside Porto. It was huge, beautiful, and very reasonably priced, and also offered private chef services. I posted a few pictures to my Instagram stories and half a dozen people asked me for the link, so I’m also sharing it here.
What I’m drinking: Portuguese pet nats from Joao Pato, aka “Duck Man” — look for the bottles with a duck on them. I absolutely loved visiting their winery while in Portugal.
A great place for pumpkin/apple picking in NYC: If you’re based in the New York area and looking for a great place for pumpkin picking/apple picking/all the fall things that’s not too far away, I recommend Demarest Farms in New Jersey. My daughter loved it and as a bonus, they had some of the best apple cider donuts I have ever tasted.
