Hi. Can you believe it’s the last day of April? One third of 2023 is already over. The year is moving at breakneck speed. (Maybe it’s because 2020, 2021, and even 2022 felt so incredibly slow. Every time I go to a restaurant or a bar now, I still marvel a little bit at how everything is just back to normal after the hellish last three years that we had.) It feels like this year, everyone is making up for all that lost time — and I love it.
Here’s a whole bunch of links, recipes, and recommendations from the last two weeks. Have a great Sunday!

Good things to cook
Things I’ve made in the last couple weeks: Tofu with miso-maple dressing. Chipotle honey salmon bowls. Ginger scallion chicken bowls. Saucy tofu with garam masala. BBQ salmon bowls with mango-avocado salsa.
I’ve also been trying to cook/eat vegetarian meals just a little more often — once a week — hence the frequent tofu recipes. And I’m especially looking forward to this new Washington Post newsletter featuring plant-based recipes from Hetty Lui McKinnon, one of my favorite recipe writers.
And a slightly specific request: Have you found any good new recipes featuring sugar snap peas? It’s one of my favorite spring veggies and I’d love to try a fun new recipe. If you have any recs, I’d love to hear them!
Recommendations
Just some things I’ve been loving lately.
An excellent spring/summer jumpsuit for only $30: I just got this sleeveless jumpsuit from Universal Thread at Target in black and already love it. It’s perfect for spring and summer — I’m honestly tempted to get another one in another color! (Sizes S-4X)
A fun soda that feels like a little treat: I’ve gotten into Ollipop recently, the very millennial-branded-looking soda you’ve probably seen at the grocery store. On nights when I don’t want to have a glass of wine but I’m still craving something that feels like a “treat,” these have been perfect.
