Recommendations
No affiliate links, just things I genuinely love and want to tell everyone about.
Veg-forward newsletters and cookbooks for CSA season: Summer has some of the best seasonal produce, and I joined a CSA for the first time this year so I’m excited for the challenge of figuring out what to do with all that produce every week. I’m liking the Farm Share newsletter, which has seasonal recipes and recs for what to do with your farm share every week. And I’m also exploring a bunch of new veg-forward cookbooks, like Hetty McKinnon’s Tenderheart, Susan Spungen’s Veg Forward, and Vasudha Viswanath’s The Vegetarian Reset.
Another cookbook I’m excited about: I have long been a Melissa Clark fan, and my husband recently got me her newest book, Dinner in One. Like all of Melissa Clark’s recipes, this book is full of creative flavor combinations and pairings I never would have thought of, and it’s perfect if you’re feeling like you’re in a cooking rut and need to shake it up a little (but the recipes are still super easy, focusing on one-pot, one-pan, and sheet-pan recipes).
Lip gloss forever: Is it the 2000s again? Suddenly we’ve moved off bold lipstick to sheer, moisturizing lip glosses again, and I love it. Most recently, I got the Tower28 lipgloss in Coconut, which is just the perfect amount of color without being too overbearing. I’m also loving the Fenty Beauty Lip Luminizer and the Tiktok-viral Summer Fridays lip balm in Vanilla Beige (a perfect color).
